Top Ten Reasons to Meet in Snowmass

1. Service: Town of Snowmass Village Group Sales Department offers a certified meeting planner to assist you with RFP's, site selection, information on transportation, lodging, and meeting and event space, along with an expert in-house destination wedding planner.

2. Convenient Meeting Space: The Snowmass Conference Center is one of the most convenient and modern conference centers in the Rocky Mountains. Our conference center offers you 35,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space. Conference room sizes vary from the 11,000 square foot ballroom to 500 square foot boardrooms. Many of the larger hotels and condominiums offer outstanding meeting space in-house. Each property can provide the audiovisual equipment, catering, and the productive meeting atmosphere required. Total meeting space in Snowmass Village is over 75,000 square feet.

3. The Lodging: 26 different properties from which to choose, ranging from a high-end hotel right next to the Conference Center, or a luxury condominium in the Village. Bed and Breakfasts are also a great way to combine lodging with the morning meal.

4. Transportation: No mountain resort has better and closer air access than Snowmass Village. It is a fifteen-minute ride from the Aspen-Pitkin County/Sardy Field Airport to any of the lodges in Snowmass Village, and virtually all properties have complimentary transportation to and from the airport. The airport is served by three airlines operating daily, year-round scheduled service. The airlines serving the airport are United Express, Northwest Airlink and America West.

All major car rental companies are available in Snowmass/Aspen. Free bus transportation exists throughout Snowmass Village and all four ski areas, including Aspen. Bus schedules are available for pick-up at the Visitor’s Center.

5. The Weather: Nowhere will you find a more comfortable place to enjoy your meeting. With over 300 days of sun each year and virtually no humidity, Snowmass offers pleasant days and cool, clear evenings. If you make plans to enjoy the outdoors, you may be sure they will happen.

6. An endless array of activities for you to enjoy: Snowmass Village is filled with charming boutiques, restaurants, and accommodations, but is best known for its numerous outdoor activities. In the winter, Snowmass also connects to the largest network of free groomed Nordic trails in the U.S. and in the summer there are over 40 miles of hiking and biking trails. Snowmass Village offers guided hikes up 14,000-foot peaks, boogie boarding in class four rapids, terrain parks and freeride trails, disc golf, paintball and fly fishing. Paragliding, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and rock climbing trips are available as well. During the winter, adventurers can try out snowshoeing and snowmobiling tours, dog sledding, winter paragliding, or skiing and snowboarding on Snowmass’ 3,128 acres of diverse terrain.

7. Special events almost every weekend: Snowmass Village is known for its hot music scene (one of the best summer resort music scenes in the state), festivals and recreational activities, not to mention the free outdoor movies. The summers are filled with events such as the Annual Chili Pepper and Brew Fest, La Sportiva Trail Run Trifecta, Snowmass Antiques Fair, U.S. Mountainboarding Championships, Snowmagical Family Fun Fest, Snowmass Nationals (mountain biking race), Snowmass Wellness, and Snowmass Balloon Festival, plus many more. During the winter, events include Winterskol, ESPN Winter X Games, Big Air Competitions and the Colorado Freeride Series.

8. The Food: With over twenty restaurants from which to choose, you can take your pick of our great food choices. French, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Steak, and Seafood – it’s all here.

9. The Scenery: Where else can you find the beautiful peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, The White River National Forest, The Roaring Fork River, and the clean mountain air. See the sights on the chairlift, from a jeep, a raft, by horseback, or on a quiet hike in the wilderness. While taking a hike or walk on one of the many trails in and around Snowmass Village, take part in the fascinating bird-watching opportunities and bring your camera to capture the beautiful scenery and memories on film.

10. Arts & Culture: Find your inner artist in Snowmass Village. Anderson Ranch is a place like no other. Artists of all levels and ages come here for the opportunity to uncover, develop and stretch their creative spirits. The store and galleries at Anderson Ranch showcase artwork produced by Ranch artists, and is open to the public. Nearby Aspen has the widest array of arts and cultural events in the state.
